Reds Volleyball Club crowned 2026 Australian Club Volleyball Champions

Reds Volleyball Club has been crowned champions of the 2026 Australian Club Volleyball Championships (ACVC) in Perth, claiming both the overall Champion Club and Premier Men titles for the first time in the Club’s history. First held in Bendigo in 2023, the national tournament run by Volleyball Australia brings together club teams from across the country to battle it out on the court.

The result came at the fourth edition of the ACVC, with four Reds teams competing against clubs from across Australia in a three-day competition held at Bendat Basketball Centre and Gold Netball Centre between 26-28 September.

The Reds 1 Premier Men side capped off an outstanding campaign by claiming the championship in straight sets, securing the Club’s maiden ACVC Premier Men title under coach Jon Uriarte.

“After making the WAVL State League final, to win the Australian Club Volleyball Championship is a great new step, in the process to build a competitive and winning mentality,” Uriarte said.

The Division 1 Women also enjoyed a memorable campaign, progressing through to the Grand Final before going down in a hard-fought four-set contest. Premier Women athlete Sarah Burton said that the tournament provided a great opportunity for the group to compete together.

““It was disappointing to lose the Grand Final, but it was a really enjoyable weekend and great to be back on court with the group. We competed hard throughout the tournament and there is plenty for us to take away from the experience,” Burton said.

Reds Volleyball Club President Anthony Meo congratulated the players, coaches and support staff across all four teams on their contribution to the Club’s success.

“To win the overall Champion Club award and our first Premier Men title is a significant achievement and reflects the commitment and effort across the entire Club,” Meo said.

“We are incredibly proud of everyone who represented Reds in Perth and look forward to building on this success,” Meo added.
