Perth Reds Volleyball Association
Reds is a non-for-profit, community-based, indoor and beach volleyball organisation that operates across Perth’s metropolitan region. Reds offers indoor and beach volleyball programs and competitions for athletes of all ages and abilities at participation levels, through to the most competitive grades of the sport.
Reds Volleyball Club was established in 2018 as a result of a growing demand for an indoor volleyball club in Perth’s south of the river area. The Club provides competitive playing opportunities for both male and female volleyballers in the Western Australian Volleyball Junior League (WAVJL), in the senior Western Australian Volleyball League (WAVL) State League and Divisions competitions and in the Australian Club Volleyball Championships (ACVC).
Reds Junior Volleyball Club was established in 2020 to provide competitive playing opportunities for junior athletes in the senior WAVL Divisions and to support the transition of athletes from junior to senior grades. The Club serves to enhance athlete pathways for talented junior indoor athletes.
Perth Reds Volleyball Association (‘PRVA’) was established in 2020 to unite the two clubs. The Association exists to facilitate the growth and development of its current affiliated clubs: Reds Volleyball Club and Reds Junior Volleyball Club. The Association facilitates a variety of playing opportunities through its clubs including participation programs such as Kids Volley and Junior Volley and competitions such as the Junior Beach Series and Youth Volley League.
Reds Reach is a community engagement program established through the PRVA focused on increasing volleyball participation in diverse communities and expanding the charitable contributions of our organisation. The Reds Reach program provides free volleyball participation opportunities for players who wouldn’t otherwise be able to engage with the sport through programs including All Abilities Volleyball, Sitting Volleyball, Edmund Rice Centre – Local Parks Grass Volley and Clontarf Aboriginal College – Junior Volleyball. The Luke Perry Volleyball Academy (‘LPVA’) was established in June 2023 to initiate a unique, local and high quality indoor academy program to help develop emerging volleyball talent in Perth, so more athletes can reach their potential and realise their volleyball dreams. The program is spearheaded by current Australian Volleyroos’ Captain, Luke Perry and aims to deliver high quality development opportunities for athletes of all ages with the support of other Perth Reds coaches.
