Perth Reds Volleyball Association wishes to congratulate Dani Francis on being awarded Life Membership of Volleyball Australia. The prestigious honour recognises individuals who have rendered distinguished or special service to volleyball at the national level.
Francis became just the fourth recipient from Western Australia to be awarded Life Membership of Volleyball Australia and joins an esteemed group of Life Members that includes fellow Reds Coach Damian Oldmeadow, Julian Prosser OLY and Trevor Williams OAM as Life Members who have made a significant contribution to the sport in Western Australia and at the national level.
Dani has served as an umpire and official for over 20 years across state, national and international indoor and beach volleyball events and competitions. More recently, Francis has been an active member at Reds and has served in various coaching, umpiring and administrative roles since joining the Association in 2021. Francis said it was a huge honour to become a Volleyball Australia Life Member recipient.
“Receiving life membership for Volleyball Australia is a humbling recognition of my dedication and passion for the sport,” Francis said.
“I am grateful for the opportunities and experiences that volleyball has brought into my life, and I am proud to be a part of the volleyball community both Perth and Australia,” Francis added.
Francis was confirmed as a Life Member at Volleyball Australia’s Annual General Meeting this year and presented with the award at the recent Australian Volleyball Schools Cup where she served as a Volunteer Manager.
Dani Francis presented with her Volleyball Australia Life Membership by Andrew Dee, Volleyball Australia CEO, at the recent Australian Volleyball Schools Cup on the Gold Coast.
