Jolie Du Plessis, Jaxon Neill and Rosie Alchin are making an exciting interstate move to progress their volleyball careers in Brisbane and Canberra. Jaxon and Rosie are headed to the Australian Volleyball Academy (AVA) in Canberra, while Jolie will join the Developing Volleyroos Beach program in Brisbane.

Jolie and Rosie both emerged from the Reds Junior WAVL Divisions program, before progressing into the State League competition in recent years and Jolie is looking forward to continuing her volleyball journey in Brisbane on the sand.
“I have loved my journey at Reds over the last 4 years and I can’t wait to continue my volleyball dream in Brisbane by joining an awesome group of coaches and teammates. Reds has been amazing for my development as a player to help get me to this point where I can progress my volleyball in the Developing Volleyroos program,” Jolie said.

Jaxon’s journey at Reds began in the Friday Night Junior League competition before progressing to the Reds State League Reserves team and will now continue at the AVA in Canberra.
“I’m looking forward to having such a high level of knowledge surrounding me to help me develop everyday. Being in a full time training program and living away from home is so exciting for me and I’m pumped to get over there and get into it.”
“There has been so many influential people in my journey to where I am today and the amazing coaching support at Reds has helped me grow as a young athlete. I have also really enjoyed meeting heaps of different people through the Club and I have made many life long friends,” Jaxon said.

Rosie who was a member of the Reds Division 1 Women Championship winning side in 2022, before progressing into State League grades of the sport will be joining Jaxon at the AVA.
“My journey at Reds initially as a player, and in the past few years as an umpire and coach, has enabled me to meet so many people in the volleyball community and contributed to making some life long friendships.
“I am excited to be in a full time training program and be coached by top level coaches and it is inspiring to know that I am going to be living in an environment that has been the home of top level Australian athletes across all sports,” Rosie said.
