Elevate Your Game with the Luke Perry Volleyball Academy!

LPVA INFORMATION

The Elevate, Next Gen and Futures Academy programs are high-performing development environments designed to support aspiring volleyball athletes through expert coaching, mentorship and exposure to elite-level training. Built around the knowledge and experience of Australian National Team Captain Luke Perry and 4x Olympian Jon Uriarte, the Academy provides athletes with the tools, knowledge and pathways to elevate their game.

ACADEMY FEATURES & COST

  • Weekly high-performance development sessions designed in collaboration with Luke Perry, including on-court training, gameplay scenarios, physical testing, strength & conditioning exposure, and video analysis.

  • Periodical coaching and mentorship from Luke Perry, Australian National Team Captain and professional athlete.

  • Guidance from elite high-performance coaches and international athletes, including 4x Olympian Jon Uriarte, Volleyball Australia Level 2 Coaches Ben Abbott and Jason Laverdure.

  • Connection to an international volleyball network, offering valuable insights into professional pathways, global playing opportunities and elite performance environments.

  • Exposure to modern trends and tactical developments shaping the international indoor volleyball game.

  • Exclusive LPVA training apparel and merchandise.

  • 20% discount on all 2026 LPVA camps and clinics.

Program Cost: $800. Up-Front Payment, Payment In Instalments or Payment Plans Available.

2026 ACADEMY TRIALS 

Male Academy Trials will be held at Aquinas College and at on the following dates:

      Elevate & Next Gen – Wednesday 22 April & Wednesday 29 April 2026 at Aquinas College (timings on schedule graphic)

      Futures – Monday 20 April & Monday 27 April 2026 at Penrhos College( timings on schedule graphic)

Female Academy Trials will be held at Penrhos College on the following dates:

      Elevate & Next Gen – Wednesday 22 April & Wednesday 29 April 2026 (timings on schedule graphic)

      Futures – Monday 20 April & Monday 27 April 2026 (timings on schedule graphic)

Trial Cost: Free – Complete the EOI at the bottom of this page to express your interest to trial. 

SQUAD STRUCTURES

In order to promote individual growth and advancement, athletes are organised based on their technical and tactical abilities, physical literacy, anticipated progression, attitude and age.

The emphasis for each squad is as follows:

  • Elevate (Athletes born in 2012 or later): Movement proficiency, physical preparation, technical foundations, cultivating a learning mentality
  • Next Gen (Athletes born in 2009 – 2011): Technical and tactical development, pathway education, strength work foundations
  • Futures (Athletes born in 2008 or earlier): Technical refinement, tactical expansion, individual athlete management, strength and conditioning development

‘ELEVATE’ Male

  • Day: Wednesdays
  • Time: 5:45pm-7:15pm

‘NEXT GEN’ Male

  • Time: 7:15pm-8:45pm

The squad for each age-group is capped at a maximum of 18 athletes to ensure that coaching and mentorship is personalised to each athlete. 

Athletes who trial and are selected will be involved in the LPVA Next Gen & Futures program between May-September and have exclusive access to additional camps and clinics over the remainder of 2026.
