COVID-19 Update – 27 February 2022

All positive cases have so far been from the same training session on the same court. We wish our athletes who have tested positive all the best in their recovery from COVID.

Reds will be suspending all State League, Divisions and Junior League trainings from Monday 28 February to Thursday 3 March, excluding the WAVL Divisions Trials at Curtin University tomorrow evening that will proceed as planned. A decision regarding other programs will be made in due course.

Volleyball WA and Reds Volleyball Club are very highly recommending for all athletes who attended the training session in question to get PCR tested immediately and to isolate until Thursday. It is now clear that the virus has spread at the session and despite not being close contacts under the current State Government definition, Volleyball WA and Reds Volleyball Club very highly recommend athletes involved in the session to isolate. This advice from Volleyball WA and Reds is in the best interests of keeping our Reds and WA communities safe.
