Head Coaches for the Reds Volleyball Club State League teams for 2019 have been announced.

LAUREL WENTWORTH – STATE LEAGUE WOMEN

Laurel is a former Captain of the Australian National Indoor Volleyball Team and has also represented the senior Western Australia team in the Australian Volleyball League. In recent years, Laurel has coached on a national level with the WA Junior Indoor Female State Teams and has also been an Assistant Coach of the WA Pearls in the Australian Volleyball League. Laurel’s playing and coaching experience will be extremely valuable to the Reds women’s program in 2019.

JOSHUA COURT – STATE LEAGUE MEN 

Josh has represented Australia in beach volleyball for the past six years. Josh partnered with Damian Schumann on the FIVB Beach Volleyball Tour and competed in a number of international tournaments, including at the 2015 Beach Volleyball World Championships in the Netherlands and Grand Slam events in China and the United States. On a domestic level, Josh has competed in the National Beach Volleyball Tour and has represented Western Australia in indoor volleyball in the Australian Volleyball League. His international and national playing experience in indoor and beach volleyball will be invaluable to the men’s volleyball program at the Club.

GRIFFIN BATEMAN – STATE LEAGUE WOMEN’S RESERVES

Griffin was a member of the Club’s Super League 1 side in 2018 and has previously represented Western Australia in Australian Junior Indoor and Beach Volleyball Championships, where he has served as a WA Team Captain and won a Silver and Bronze medal. Griffin is also a member of the U/21 Australian Beach Volleyball Squad. Griffin joins State League Head Coach Laurel Wentworth in the women’s program at the Reds.

JASON LAVERDURE – STATE LEAGUE MEN’S RESERVES

Jason was the Setter of the Mauritian National Team from 2008-2013 and has also competed in the Australian Volleyball League with the WA Hornets. Jason was the Co-Captain of the Reds Super League 1 team in 2018 and will be returning this year to coach the Men’s State League Reserves side. Jason joins State League Head Coach Joshua Court in the men’s WAVL program for the 2019 season.
